About the Regional Qualifiers

All Ontario teams will first compete in a regional qualifier bowl. There will be further details specific to your region in the provinces menu.

Tournament Details

Let’s face it, every ethics bowler’s dream is to qualify for the national competition. In Ontario, the path to nationals is a winding journey. Every registered team automatically qualifies for a regional event. Regional qualifiers take place at OEB partner universities: Western, Guelph, McMaster, University of Toronto, Toronto Metropolitan, Queens, and Carleton. A virtual qualifier is available to teams who cannot attend an in-person event.

The top 16 teams from the qualifiers will attend the Ontario Championship (OC), from which the top team will advance to the national finals.

"

The Ethics Bowl is unlike any event of which I’ve been a part. Students experience noticeable development both in their intellectual abilities and, more importantly, in their interpersonal communication.
